Why do I need Compost Activator?

Activator is a tool that assures all the correct microbial species are available to properly break down the compost material as quickly as possible. The bacteria and fungi provided in the activator heats up the compost material. This heating greatly accelerates the degradation of mixed material into mulch which feeds your plants and improves the soil your plants live in. A well mulched garden provides a healthy environment for strong root growth which means strong plants that won’t weaken when nature sends a cold snap or hot wind burst in the growing season. Just follow the instructions on the bag of activator and remember when you add both the activator and the material, make sure and tumble, (mix) well each time to produce an even mixture for breaking down. We strongly recommend using activator with your compost.
